Oh man! I went to see Dethklok last night with John and Jonathan and it was probably the most intense thing ever. I didn’t get to go up front with them because of my knee but it was still gnarly. I was kind of bummed that Dr. Rockso didn’t make an appearance. I saw some guying throwing up some of these when he should have been throwing up a few of these. If Josh were there he would be doing some of this.
This is a note from Aubrey. I wrote her first and then she gave me the note back with her note on the back which reminded me of that Modest Mouse song Ohio (”Dropped off a note that said I’m giving this note back”). Anyways, I like her drawings. She was talking about some mega-religious teacher she had and that is what is in the middle and it says “PRAISE FREAKING JESUS” next to it. Then she makes fun of my Derek Zoolander phone. And there are boats and other cool things on it. haha I think they are funny. I miss writing notes.
It’s hard not being able to skate. I start physical therapy and its going pretty good. I starting to get more motion in my knee everyday. No matter how hard I work though, I still can’t skate for 6 months at the least. They don’t know for sure but when they done the procedure on animals and then opened them back up later it took about 6 months for their bodies to accept the new tissue and for the bone to become one with the other piece of bone they took from my knee cap. Anyways, this is Josh sitting at one of the gnarliest ditches in the area. I like that ditch. It’s a huge hill that kind of goes into a horse shoe type thing. And if you’re really gnarly like Sean Greene you can try to gap from the middle of the highway into the bank and bomb that shit. Skating with Josh is fun. I can’t wait until we can go out skateboarding again and just fuck off to all the other shit or whatever is going on in our life. I just got done watch the John Cardiel epicly later’d dvd. That hypes me up so much. It gives me hope that I’ll be back on the board just like he did even though his situation is ten times worse than mine. He is rad as shit.
Dang fool three posts in one day. I must have no life. I found these photos on my dads camera.
Bro Bro Eric and me when I got my knee surgery.
Alright, now lets take a step back to graduation. Jacob and me.
Brother Clay came down from Austin. Thanks Clay.
Eric is always lost. He finally found us. Look! Amy Innerarity is in the background! but she is germany at the moment.
Eric stole my identity. Where is brother Sam?
Eric Oakley, Michael Bueno, myself and Leslie Elkins. Oh man I miss these people. Eric and I used to be the best of buds. I haven’t seen him or Michael or Leslie since this picture was taken. Well, they are awesome people and hopefully someday our paths will cross.
This is great! Apparently I haven’t seen this Patrick Biffle part yet. He is hands down my favorite local skater. I mean geez he wears a Mavs jersey when he skates Barcelona. Well, this is one hell of a part Mr. Biffle and I hope you call me to skate next time you’re around.
Yup thats right! 1/3 of NoisesFromOurTummies is 1 year older than she was last year. You can send your regards via comment this post if you would like. If you were looking for a good way to celebrate the life of Casey Pepin, you can go get Starbucks, play Halo, tie-dye your pillow cases and dye yourself purple. Happy birthday Casey!
I haven’t been blogging because I had knee surgery Tuesday and I’ve been confined to a bed at my mom’s house. Here is basically what happened. If you want something more realistic you can watch this one. Everything went well and I start rehab tomorrow. I think I’m going to try to go home tonight. I miss all my roommates and Comedy Central is getting boring. Poor Bandit has been getting pretty antsy too.
Josh, Greg and I went to Sweetwater, Texas for a demo that they were doing at some church. This gnarly kid we met there in the photo, with Josh and Greg, is Levi. He was super funny and probably hands down the coolest kid there. He has a gnarly pirate skull tattoo and was a pretty rad skater. There was just a quarter pipe with a vert wall on the other side in the youth center room. Needless to say, Josh and Greg got gnarly on the ramp.
This is a very rare occasion to see Mr. Franklin. Very rare! He was up at Index when I went up there the other day. He is a pretty funny man. We went to CiCi’s together. I interviewed him for the fetal documentary. I also put Dameon and Shane on the spot and asked them some stuff. I got a lot of good material. Shawn told me is skates about once every two weeks. The crazy thing about that is whenever he does skate he is freaking amazing and blows minds. He doesn’t need to practice. He is just straight gnar bar far far.
